Travellers exempted from yellow fever vaccination

⦁ Under medical grounds or

⦁ Age(less than 1 year and above year)
⦁ Pregnant woman

⦁ They should posseses yellow fever exemption letter

Yellow ever vaccination services are available at port health office

Vaccination against yellow fever is required to prevent the importation of yellow fever virus into countries which had never reported any case of yellow fever but where the mosquito vector and non-human primate hosts are present. In those

settings, vaccination is an entry requirement for all travelers arriving (including airport transit) from countries where there is a risk of yellow fever transmission or any disembarkation to endemic areas after 24 hours.If yellow fever vaccination is contraindicated for medical reasons, a letter of medical exemption is necessary.

Travellers arriving from yellow fever endemic countries should be vaccinated against yellow fever and possess a valid international certificate of vaccination.
Travellers transited within yellow fever endemic countries for 12 hours or more are also entiled to be vaccinated and possess a valid international certificate vaccination

  • Tshs 65,000 or USD $40 per person. Foreigners an official receipt must be issued.
